Overview

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Cova Square, Kota Damansara, Padang Kota Corner offers a true taste of Malaysian heritage through its authentic Nasi Kandar and Nasi Beriyani dishes. This humble yet inviting restaurant crafts each plate with careful attention, serving iconic classics that capture the rich flavors and spices synonymous with Penang-style cuisine.

The star of the menu is undoubtedly the Nasi Beriyani Ayam Bawang — a fragrant, perfectly spiced rice dish accompanied by tender, flavorful chicken. Its aroma and balance of spices make it a go-to choice for both locals and visitors seeking a comforting meal. Alongside this, the Nasi Kandar Ayam Goreng stands out with its super crunchy fried chicken, which pairs impeccably with the robust rice and slathered sauces that define this style.

Beyond rice dishes, Padang Kota Corner also serves up quintessential Malaysian street food favorites such as Mee Goreng Mamak and Roti Canai. These options provide variety for those who appreciate the diversity in local flavors and textures. The eatery’s location within a bustling commercial hub means it caters to a mixed crowd—office workers, families, and food enthusiasts all converge here, drawn by the promise of genuine Malaysian flavors at approachable prices.

The ambiance is casual and straightforward, designed for quick meals or relaxed dining without the fuss. While the space itself is functional, the culinary experience steals the spotlight: it’s a place where traditional recipes are respected and executed with passion. Conveniently reachable and supported by friendly service, Padang Kota Corner stands as a reliable spot for savoring hearty Malaysian fare in Petaling Jaya.

Great place for nasi kandar. The ayam masak merah was good. Telor sotong was great..we liked that they had ladies finger, cabbage and taugeh for vegetables. Briyani was good too. A tasty perk up meal.after visiting thomson hospital. They have a medium air limau kosong for rm4.40 which they served up.without asking. So if you drink less. Please ask for small.

Went there with my team for a lunch there, we had Nasi Kandar, mee goreng mamak, maggi soup curry. Overall ambiance is nice, relaxing and windy. Food taste great, can give 7or8/10. Portion to price is satisfactory. With Food and drink can get less than 10 ( if you order simple ), Roti canai not available during lunch hours, they also serve Swarma at the back.

Thank you to the owner for changing the dining tables and chairs to new ones. It makes this outlet look nicer and cleaner compared to the old ones. Previous times here I had nasi and lauk for lunch. Sometimes have breakfast. Todays breakfast was a surprise when I saw the new tables and chairs . Food and drinks has always been very consistent in flavors. BUT staff needs to listen to customers request and ensure that the drink makers or cooks follow the orders special request. Many a times I ordered a hot drink with a request for kurang kurang manis but what was delivered was still sweet. Same goes for my order of roti bawang with extra dhal gravy. Never comes with extra dhal. Needed to ask again and then only get what I requested for. Work smart. Not work hard.

It's a decent nasi campur place. Enough seating, plenty of food, and at the corner of the building. It was clean and tidy and, that's for me important, there was plenty of food to choose from at the beginning of the day. Some restaurants don't have that but this one did. Then, why not giving 5 stars? Because, even though it was good, it was not exceptional nor standing out compared to other places...

Another mamak eatery. Food is okay. Service okay but can improve. Cleanliness needs attention. The floor and serving area, messy.
